I suffered for ten years with terrible IBS and took every type of medication. What made the difference was a web site I found that helped me change my diet and I no longer have any symptoms of IBS. Please read everything in this website. They do recommend peppermint oil capsules for the pain.

hi i need to ask if u had your gall bladder out. sometimes people get post gall bladder removal syndrome or its called postcholecystectomy syndrome. in the meantime, try a fiber additive like fibercon. this will help the diarrhea, eventually, and the constipation. it levels out the bowel. i take something called levbid. its an antispasmotic pill that helps a deal with ibs and it keeps working for me. i also have chronic pancreatitis and it helps make the pancreas work less.goodluck;)michele
