Your CV should be the default font sizes on MS Word Docs i.e.
Adequately sized text that is clear and accessible to all:
12 point font and not less than 8 point font as a general rule.
Traditional Font Style: Times New Roman, Arial - the style in which you would write a letter to a company.
Decent Margins.
Clear Headings.
Logical Structure

There isn't any rule as such, but I'd agree with Joe B - no smaller than 10 and no larger than 12.
Try to make sure you go no longer than 2 A4 sides - so this may help you to decide on the font size.
Use a plain, simple font. Arial is good. Personally I quite like trebuchet and use this a lot for clients' CVs.

Ariel or Times New Roman 11 or 12. Anything VERY tiny - below 10 - will get thrown away as it will be impossible to read, especially by anyone who has got a vision problem.

Easiness of reading is important. I would say between 10 and 12, but make sure the font is easy to read.

I would say about 10/11 because you don't want it to look too big and also not too small that they strain to read it...
