Sign her up for obedience classes. You're likely to get pulled down when she goes running.

Start taking her to Obedience Classes, { Pets-Mart} so you won't end up breaking a leg by her pulling you around. Once she has started the classes you will find you will be able to train her to stop chasing the birds and barking so much.
If you yell at her all the time to stop you are making her nervous and she will continue doing it ....

Proper obedience training is *very* important with dobermans. They're great dogs once you teach them how to behave. This particular problem sounds like an excess of energy though, so make sure you take her for very long walks atleast once a day (recommend twice a day).

Take her to a good obed. class and make her obey you. Off leash it is hard to get a dog to stop chasing so if in an area it is dangerous do not let her off leash. But you can train your dog to come even in the face of a distraction. But only if you practice what you learn at the class. An old adage is "The trainer ends up with the dog he deserves". So if you train half heartedly the dog will only obey when it feels like it.

Obedience classes.
I've had two doberman pinscher's before, and both of them were very energetic. I think that's just how the dog is. But after classes, the dogs are fine

Classes are good! If you can afford them. If you can't get book and a gentle leader (type of harness that keeps the dog for snatching you around)! Even if you did classes the instructor is there to teach you how to train your dog!

i have 2 dobermans. its possible that your dobe isn't getting enough exercise. one on one obedience school is the best training. i use a prong choke collar as instructed by my trainer on my dobes. they do not hurt the dog even though they look barbaric (i'm one to try on myself before on my dog). one slight pull slightly digs into them and gets their attention/distraction away from what has their attention. i do recommend a trainer to teach you proper use of the prong collar. my dog is 16 months and we take frequent walks but i'm rather small and if i didn't use the prong collar he would pull me everywhere as he weighs around 130lbs. good luck.

Thats something that a doberman can not stop to do. Is in their nature. They are hunter and thats something you cant change. Other wise they are very charming and loyal and you can trust them always if you are a good owner you can expect a good dog.
