i'm a hgv driver and this narks me off no end, as a truck aint as nimble as a car and we need a bigga gap, i usually just go anyway and force them to slow down if they are coming round, and if i get the horns and flashing lights i just smile and wave. another thing that narks me off is when dual carriage way ends in a small roundabout, ie one big enough for two cars but not a truck and a car, the amount of tw ats who try ans squeeze past you on the inside, and then they get pis sed off when you rip their mirrors or bumpers off, i have the last laff when the police arrive and blame the car driver telling didnt they think that a 44 tonne artic might need a lot more room anyway thanks for bringing this up and safe driving mate

Because most drivers don't know the Highway Code!! I think a refresher course should be compulsary every 5 years. Mind you, I have witnessed a police car not using indicators at a roundabout - as I only just missed crashing into it as I thought he was going straight over, then proceeded to carry on around the roundabout!!

This would probably be because most people thik that the person turning round the roundabout and the people in the car behind know where they are going and they think it is a waste of time indicating so they decide not to.

I agree, it seems that there is a poor understanding of when and how to indicate properly at roundabouts. In particular those that signal far too early to exit the roundabout making you think they are taking the previous exit. And of course those who don't indicate at all (Like you indicated)
I have even seen people indicate right to exit left (UK)
In general it is only required to indicate your intention to leave the roundabout just before your turning.
We do not need to indicate right when approaching a roundabout (We all go right round one!)

Because other road users (myself included most of the time) are lazy and inconsiderate and just want to get where they are going with minimal effort.
I drove to work everyday for 14 years (the same route, except when i moved house once) So i got very bored of driving and didn't care about other road users, including telling them which direction i was planning on going, unless they got in my way. I now get the train and my life has improved no end, less stress, more time to read and see people. Everyone who drives should try the train (or other public transport) for at least for a week, your life will improve too.

If it's like here in Michigan, we don't have a specific code on using indicators in roundabouts. Plus, since they're rather new here, nobody knows what the accepted usage of indicators is.

I think the roads are just getting worst and some drivers never indicate either at roundabouts or anywhere else. It's happened to me loads of times and don't talk to me about drivers cutting you up either - grrrrrrrrrr
It's true when they say that 'road rage' can happen so quickly and to most people.

Joining a roundabout EVERYBODY goes left, no need to signal. Then everybody goes right, again no need. You only need to signal as you do the unexpected like swinging off the roundabout, or changing lane if it is a multi lane.

Some people do use indicators then cut you up on the inside and then glare at you like YOU were in the wrong. I don't think any of them know where they are really going! A lot of them are getting directions from some twit who is unable to map read so all hell breaks loose when the passenger shouts "no, down there I said"! Give me strength!!!!

indicators in roundabouts are used only in a multy lane roundabout.
using indicators in a one lane roundabout = using indicators on a small road in the middle of the night when you are the only driver in the erea.
