I take a flight to a different contrey every year to see my dad(my parents are divorced). It's not that scary at all. Ur most likely to get in a car accident.
Well hear are some tips:

-chew gum during take of and landing

-if u feel sick order coke it helps

-its good to bring ur bathroom stuff abord

-try to get fruit and water at the AIRPORT
(airplane food is grose)

-walk around on the airplane alot too

-get alot of sleep time will fly by

Hope u have agood flight!

I fly 8-12 times a year for business. 95% of flights are very uneventful, and fun. A few cocktails from the airport bar, and maybe on board will loosen you up a little if you are frightened to fly. It's that 5% of flights where you hit rough turbulance that will scare the pooh out of you, but even then you should know that you are relatively safe, and that the aircraft have been designed to handle such stresses. The biggest problem with such a long international flight is going to be finding something to do if you are unable to sleep! Bring a portable DVD, laptop, PSP, or other game box with you to occupy your time. A few magazines and a good book can also be a change of pace. They don't always have a lot of food on board these days, so I like to bring snacks!

Don't be worried, everything is pretty simple. And don't think you are the only inexperienced person on the flight because chances are you aren't.

The best thing to do is keep yourself occupied. Don't think about what would happen if the plane crashed. Instead watch movies if they have the little tv screens. Or listen to music, read and eat some candy. hehe Well the seats most likely won't be too comfortable to sleep in but worry. And don't sleep to much before the flight so that way you can easily just sleep through the flight.

And usually the airline will somehow give you tips on how to relax. Don't worry it'll be over before you know it!

Don't worry there is nothing scary about a flight! I had 4 plane flights and never worried once! It's actually kinda fun! Especially when they serve food :))) My Mom and Dad have flown like a gazillion times and so did a lot of people! Read a book or listen to music if u get bored! Or talk to your neighbor, maybe you'll be next to some cute boy;)

It's not scary, the best part of the movie is the great job Jodie Foster does acting. It was just a coincidence that nobody saw her daughter when they got on the plane. The would be kidnappers just got lucky snatching her. Everything turns out fine in the end. They both go home in one piece. Go ahead and watch the whole thing.

The only thing scary about a flight to SYD is the duration! I just checked and from LA its 14hr. Bring a book, and an Mp3 player and you should be fine.

You'll be fine. Bring a book. You can get a pillow or blanket from the flight crew.
