Pastor David Whitney, Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Baltimore, MD, made this statement on PBS's "Religion and Ethics Newsweekly," without citing a scriptural source. I looked in my Strong's Concordance and can't find it. As a Christian, it is important to me to know what the Bible says rather than accepting another's word about God's Word.

Yes it is in there. It frustrates me when professed Christians know their book less well than those who don't believe in it. Maybe that is something we should all think about. But keep reading. You're looking for Luke 22:36. See also Matt 10: 34-36.
