that she was going to apply to the same one. But I talked to a very good friend of hers and she said that she was lying. I asked her why she lied she said she didnt know. Why did my ex girlfriend lie and say she was going to apply to the same College as me?

Probably because she's trying to make it seem lik she dont want you to leave so she says shes gonna apply so yall can still be around each other all the time. But the thing is, shes not gonna apply because she actually wants you to leave so that she can have her space, or so she can date around without getting caught, or who knows the reason. She probably was going to keep on lying and saying she applied and then when the time come she probably gonna tell you she didnt get accepted and you're gonna be sad and shes going to pretend shes sad and its all in her plan. Shes gonna do whatever she want while you are away or while shes away at a different college.

if this was a recent break up i'd bet money that she's just not over you and is trying by any means possible to show you that you share the same interests. my advice would be to set a firm boundary that limits how much time you spend together. if she still has feelings for you she will not stop trying to get back into your life especially if she thinks she has a chance

'falling in love' makes us do stupid things, even say things we are not fully commited to. maybe at the time she felt that she wanted to be with you or make you comfortable that she wants to go with you. whatever her reason was you need to respect her decision, the relationship is over and how it ended could be decided by you, confronting her was pointless she wont tell you her reason esp. in that position. if you keep her as a friend chances are it will come about some other day.

Maybe that should be a question you should ask her? Maybe..she wanted to see if that was your way of making space for the two of you....it could be due to a bunch of reasons. She knows, you just have to get it out of her.

Proboly to make you feel better about where you are going. Or she wants to go somewhere else, and thought that you would 100% go to that college from what she said.

Maybe she wanted you to think that there was a chance for you to get back together or maybe she just wanted you to know that she was gonna be around

because she wanted you to think more of her....possibly an attempt to control you, win you back.... or she is just a liar.....
she is your ex, why are you wasting any emotional thought to it....there is a reason you are ex's it didn't work out.... move on.....
