I support the war because of all our troops over there, I hold them in the highest regard, pray for them daily.

I don't like that they are there, many of the troops feel their presence there is necessary, so I support what they feel, they sure know more than I do.

I dislike that it had to get to this point, that lives were lost, and just the word WAR, however, I am not in on all the info necessary to truly make the decision as to if we go to war or not.

Just support our troops no matter what - don't make it about what us at HOME feel, just that we support them and all they are doing for us!

Wow I really don't support the way that the administration has handled the war but do I support the war. I completely believe that we went into Iraq for a reason. The comments that Bush is a liar is a bit out there. Do you really think the democrats would have supported this war from the beginning without good reasons? NO!!!! There must have been good reason to believe that Iraq had WMD. We needed to go in there and make the inspections in Iraq that they refused to allow the UN to do.

I don't think this illegal war was a "misguided adventure". This war was planned 30 years ago by the same hawks that are in the white house now. Interesting reading: "The Thirty Year Itch" in MotherJones, written by Robert Dreyfuss, and, it was the April/March 2003 issue! All of it is still true today.

This war makes me sick inside. Do you ever wonder why they don't show the coffins? Do you hear much about the over 50,000 wounded except for the little hospital problem? Do you know they blame mental problems from the stress fatigue on something that must have happened to them before they went into the service? Do you know they reduced military families benefits? On Memorial Day, how many papers printed the faces of the dead? I can't stand it, I just can't stand it.

So, no, I don't support this war, I am against war, and think the people handling the war should be impeached.

I am against the war! I am totally FOR the troops. Bush, Chaney, and ole Rummy have created a mess and it is FUBAR! The US should not even be in Iraq. I think Iraq is all about 2 things. 1) the oil 2)"He tried to kill my daddy" statement. Yes, Sadam was a 'bad' man, but no threat to the US. He was in check, and all he could really do was talk sh**. No WMDs, no relations with Bin Laden and his buddies either.

Bin Laden was/is the 'poster child' for 9/11. We have gone from hearing Bin Laden 500 times a day to just hearng it when he puts out his monthly memo video. Because of Iraq, we aren't putting forth maximum efforts to capture Bin Laden. No, we shouldn't kill him. Bin Laden should have his day in court! If and when he is found guilty, he deserves LIFE doing hard labor, assets confescated and sold, and the proceeds to pay for his keep. The victims and their families of 9/11 should get a dividend check every month from the interest off his assets. The last I heard, Bin Laden has millions, so those checks won't be all that small. His crime is to massive, and hell won't hold him. I'm sure we can work out a deal with China. He can replace all the loose, weathered, worn, and missing bricks in the Great Wall of China. This includes making the bricks...the way they did it when the wall was originally built. Once he has done that, he is free to go about his business.

The so-called leaders in Iraq are not even showing up for meetings!!!! When they do, they aren't taking care of Iraqi business. At the same time they are soaking up A/C and discussing how comfortable their chairs are and how nice their new furniture is, and how much they should be paid, troops from various nations are roasting in the sun, being shot, being blown up, being KILLED, and spending time away from their families for THEM. WTF!!!!?

When the US decides to give their lazy butts (Iraq's so-called leaders) a deadline to departure, maybe then they will get off their butts and start doing something to take care of their own country. As long as we are there, no heat being put under their butts to do anything, they will sit around....IF they even show up for meetings, they will do absolutely NOTHING to expedite the departure of the US and other countries.

I think if Sadam and Iraqi oil were left alone, all the troops in Iraq were sent to Afghanistan, we would have captured Bin Laden by now. The money being spent in Iraq would go a LONG way toward educating US children, and other programs and matters within US borders.

Our troops in Iraq don't need to come home. They need to be sent to Afghanistan to capture Bin Laden....if he is even in Afghanistan. After he is caught, get the UN into Afghanistan to build. Rebuilding Afghanistan is a joke. After all the wars and destruction there...for so long, they have forgotten what a real building, home, and just normal life is anymore. They will need help BUILDING everything. As the UN arrives in numbers, we depart in numbers. This time coming HOME SWEET HOME!!!

I don't get you crazy people who don't support the war.
Think about this...
If we pulled our troops out like you want, there would be terrorists all over us in seconds and chances are you would die. Not even joking.
And When you say "Pull out the troops" "Make Love not War" Your saying that your freedom is nothing, and not worth fighting for.
Why people say that is because we have everything just handed to us. We have it so easy. We're one of the few countries with REAL freedom. And when someone tries to mess with it We shouldn't be afraid to fight back.
Thank God we have a president who knows what he's doing and an extremely strong military.
I am a strong supporter of the war. And all you troops out there Thank you, and I'm praying for you.
God Bless.

I'm against the way the government is handling it. We are going in and invading another country without good reason and without a plan and without trying nonviolent solutions.

Now that we are already in over our heads, we still are not acting properly by getting support of the global community, especially the EU and Arab League, and we are permitting grave violations of the Geneva Conventions, Conventions Against Torture and Hague Warfare Convention. By saying "oh the Geneva Conventions don't apply" and holding detainees indeterminably without habeus corpus, by obtaining information through torture but not calling it that....

The US with a great military and enormous resources should be setting an example for the rest of the world, not disgracing itself.

your question.
can i adjust it ?
there should be no war.
there have been enough mistakes .
things that led into it all . could have been dealt with .
submission by elimination at strategic key points.would have kept cost ,below a minimal.
not a very good ,poker face getting smeared with jeopardy of all.
secret service has avoided undertaking international cooperation ,giving no one the upper hand.
so who was it that had no plan for our elected leaders ?
rice and chicken are pretty good,if that's what on our plate.
it didn't fool the enemy though.

what we could have done and what we are doing is not whats at stake.
if its not handled right ,there's tariffs and other obligations they could fall victim too ,just as we our selves .
out in the open over the top with international cooperation has a abundance leaving no out let for an enemy making submission inevitable.
forcing someone to pay the reaper craves a rebound .then as foretold, the repeat of the entire war.with only a scacre economy held in tact.

Both. Yes we should have hunted down Osama and taken down the Saddam regime for the sake of innocent ppl. But Osama is supposed to be in Afganistan and Saddam is dead. Why then are we in Iraq? It seems to me more of our Armed Forces are dying everyday by the hands of the people we went over there to help. The war started out great in both aspects, but now it has gone totally wrong with it's objective and the way it is being handled. God Bless those who are over there serving and may they come home heros in everyone's eyes.

First... Identify what "this" war is; it's unlikely than any "2" people can accomplish that task... unconventional, unique, mult- faction... define this war and then it could be won; until then, all we do is participate in a "wild, wild East" shoot'um up ! ...armies of ununiformed children running in streets with automatic weapons, tonka-toy explosives and religious zealot's screaming "god is great, god is great: while mashing the trigger of an AK47 ! ...war ? there is no war; this has become a Mad Max production well beyond Thunder-dome and until our Governments pinch themselves and get politically sober it will only continue, increase and one-by one, Nations will become consumed by its INSANITY.
