Ive had many piercings, many of which have been extreme ones such as arm surface piercings and creating a perimeter around my eye but I am just about done with piercings that require jewelry. My last one will be an impant piercing, its where the jewelry is anchored between the skin and muscle(or bone), like a labret is with the lip and gums respectivly. My question is how much "room for error" is there? What are the chance of tendon damage or nerve damage or other pernament damages?

Keep in mind that the risk you would be taking is huge. These are all underground procedures because they are medical in nature, i.e., the piercer is practicing medicine without a license.

Beyond the nerve or other "damage" - MRSA is on a rise across the country - I love modifications but I would not risk any of these at this point no matter how skilled the piercer.

this is probably something you want to be asking either your piercer or the staff of www.bmezine.com, not the people on yahoo. chances are the bme staff will be much more helpful than anyone here
