one scared me a little ... they collected little bits of info here and there about me
but not enough for me to worry about them coming to my house to get me
so I tried to just ignore it

I got 2 death threats about 5 months ago. I'm Catholic and they were from Muslim men. They were in their answers then they emailed me a few times. I reported it to Yahoo but of course there is really nothing they can do but cancel their account. I've seen threats here a few other time from even Christians.
I don't know much about computers but I think you can block certain websites. I have parental controls set in plce since I have a child at home. What religion are you or are you atheist? Why would you get hate mail? Hate mail (answers) happen here every day. From Christians and atheists and Muslims. I have seen a Jew or Hindu or Agnostic threaten or hate. I think that speaks volumes of their beliefs. God have mercy on all our souls. We definitely need it!

Wow, someone made a death threat? That's pretty bad! I never had that happen, although the question I just asked a few minutes ago was speedily removed by customer care, I guess because I asked it in French on an English forum.

Never heard of death threats on here.
I was in another section of Yahoo Answers and saw where advice was given to use a gun on someone. I hit the ABUSE BUTTON toute suite. (Which is the only time I've ever used it.)
The worst that happens to me on this section is that church people delete my questions and send me VIOLATION notices. By now I could probably festoon an entire wall in our computer room.

I also have to ask what is R/S? I don't have a clue. As for death threats on the web from chat rooms and such I have received them before when I have answered a question on a message board someone didn't like, but I don't worry about them. I think it is mostly just people just blowing off steam.

I think your husband has the right to worry about your life, as you should. No one has ever threatened me. And if they did, I would call the police, if I knew who it was. Most times, people don't know where you live. And you shouldn't give out personal information online to people, unless you feel comfortable to do that.

Not yet, although I've had hate mail from a Fundie or two. Now isn't THAT Christianlike?
(and I am a Christian!)
No one is gonna mess with the Queen! Stay cool.

Doug,Doug, posted that he had gotten one a few months ago,
and he hasn't been on much since.
matter of fact, I haven't seen him at all for a week or two.
but he is probably just on vacation, or sabbatical or something.

I've gotten a few nasty ones, but no death threats.... yet.
Make sure you don't give your real location, and it's all good... let them threaten away....
