tough side. he was long and still is suffering. No one knows how he came into existence, but do you think there were many many Gods or beings and there was a free for all, and the victor would rule? now there were many different beings in many different forms, but the reason we are as we are today is because the God of our image won the war? or was it just a case of who won cosmic musical chairs?

God is God because he is much smarter than all the rest of the gods, you cannot come up with a theory that he could not have known, God had a plan from the time before the world was made and you and I and these conversations were all just a very small part of that plan also. If God stopped thinking of you there would be nothing of you here, Lucifer talked about God's plan too but at least he understood there was a God even if he could not see him either. But yes God has a loving side and not so much a tough side but what is better called Laws, Laws of Nature and Laws of Spirit that he bound himself to in the creation. These Laws became our enemy and so he came to undo the Law that was against mankind, but unless your willing to die to your own ideas you will never receive the benefit from any of God's mercy and grace, this was how the Law was set up so that evil people could not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

You put human terms and conditions on God. We humans exist on a 1 dimensional uni-directional time line. For us time is a straight line that always goes forward. But God exists on a multi-dimensional multi-directional time plane. When you draw time to us on this plane again it is a line point in 1 direction with its begining at the origin point (0,0,0) or for simplicity pt (0,0). That is the beginning of time for us but since God exists on the plane he has neither a beginning nor an end point. He always was and always will be -- sound familiar? When God said "no strange gods before me--he meant gods not Gods. He created all that is. Do you know how much God loves you? Besides giving you free will he made you unique! He will never ever make someone exactly like you again! He is a loving Father who only wants your love in return.

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, light from light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son],
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

I don't think there were many gods at one point, I think that there has been one God all along with many different names. I think that all the gods of our nations are just really one all-loving, all-knowing God

I think that god is a ridiculous myth and that trying to analyze the character of a fictional being is laughably pointless.
