different strokes, for different folks. Some are pagan, goth, satanists, wiccans, etc. Some have Halloween weddings. For some it's just a fashion choice.

I've never heard of a bride wearing black on her wedding day. But she gets to wear whatever color she wants. Maybe some are marrying for the second time and are simply choosing a nice black cocktail dress.
BTW in some cultures, white is the color of mourning.

Because they are trying to shock people? Because they want to be different/interesting? Because they just like the color black?? Didn't Sarah Jessica Parker wear a black dress at her wedding? I think I saw that somewhere...she said she regretted it later. I don't know, to me an all black wedding dress is not the way to go.

A bride can wear whatever she wants on her wedding day. Personally, I would not opt for a color associated with mourning, but to each his own.

because they are rebels and non-conformists.They don't know it but they make as........es out of themselves. I think that wearing black on a brides wedding day is horrible and so morbid. Ugly fad and will not last.

Probably because they are gothic or the theme is gothic and or for Halloween(lots of peeps get married on Halloween).
or
they are so against anything traditional they will go out of their way to be extreme and do the opposite.
or
maybe their fave color is black
or
to shock and or just to be different

Uh. It's slimming? Maybe because they like the color? Maybe it's one of their wedding colors? My wedding dress is white and then at the reception I'm going to wear black.

Why would a bride ware black? that's for a funeral and means sorrow and morning.White is for Chasity and purity .I have been to a second wedding and the bride wore a light pink bridal gown and it was beautiful.

i wore white at my wedding and am divorced now. i cannot wear white again, i cannot wear ivory because i am pale, red doesnt look good no me, blue and green are out of the question, so if i got married again i would wear black (like sarah jessica parker did)
