A real man would never fight a woman in my opinion. I have taken shots from women, but never returned any.
I agree with Mr. Bo jangles. It isn't a fight unless there is an exchange. There are also trashy women who take advantage of the fact that they can assault a man who has values that prevent him from striking back in that culture. Then again, sometimes they choose incorrectly and run into a guy who doesn't care. The uber-coward will actually hide behind an aggressive woman like this.
Either way this isn't really a fair question in modern culture and I think the asker is well aware of that. If a man were to strike back he would certainly get into a heap of trouble and the woman would seek aid. It is a no-win situation for a man.
Just don't ask this same question if you are in a dominant male culture, at least not in person.

I know a couple of Girls who could kick my trash, speed, my friend speed and technique, women have flexibility often times far superior to men, this is a bonus.
I can use my brother as a bit of a reference if you will, he is older than I but has always been smaller, 30-40 lbs. and within the last 5 years about 4-5" smaller. I can beat him in the arm wrestle, but he always beats me in a wrestling match because he has done it for 4 years.
So again it's about technique.
And for all you who are thinking he's just small right about now. Not a fact, I'm 6"5" 200lbs and well built, these women could beat me, partially because one is my G/F and otherwise because of technique. And yes I've been in fights before too, just giving a good honest unbiased answer. No actual experience in getting waisted by a women though, (I'd prefer not to find out) and I honestly don't want to hurt the others.
Good Luck!! Have Fun!! You can do it!! Envision it, then do it!!

Women Can’t Do Martial Arts Well
That old myth is ready for the scrap heap. Aside from the fact that women like Cynthia Rothrock, Karen Sheperd and Michelle Yeoh have proved themselves to be compelling action heroes of the cinema, at the tournament and dojo level, there have been thousands of superior female fighters and practitioners, and with each generation there are more.
But let’s take a quick stroll back through history. About 2,000 years ago, during China’s Spring and Autumn Period, a woman named Yu Niu competed in a seven-day sword contest organized by the king and was chosen as the champion over 3,000 swordsmen. Then in the fifth century, there was a princess named Ming-Lian, the daughter of Emperor Liang Wu Di, who became the only female student of the legendary Bodhidharma. A century later, there was Mulan—yes, the one they based the Disney cartoon on—who’s considered a heroine in China. And don’t forget that wing chun was invented by a Buddhist nun for use by women.
In the 20th century, there have been hundreds of female champions, fighters, demo experts, competitors and instructors. Women like Graciela Casillas, Cheryl Wheeler and Kathy Long have kicked serious holes through the women-can’t-fight myth.
A variation of this myth is that women can’t do the martial arts as well as men. It’s a silly statement to make—like saying short people can’t do the martial arts as well as tall people, or that thin people can’t fight as hard as heavy people.
This argument barely holds water when discussing full-contact martial arts because they’re weight-class-based. Sure, a 120-pound woman can’t effectively fight a 235-pound man in the ring, but neither can a 120-pound man. Weight and body mass are what matters in combat sports.
Remember that the majority of martial arts were developed specifically to allow smaller and weaker people to defend themselves against larger and stronger attackers.

I am sure women have fought a man and won. But the "lone star story" above wasn't a fight. That was a woman punching a man.
If there isn't any exchange, it's not a fight.
In a fight though, the man wins about 97 out of 100 times, and I don't care if i get thumbs down for stating the truth.

I have trained with woman for cage fighting. One in paticular Julie K. (she fights in Bodog) Although she never really caught me I wasn't able to get her either. I am sure that woman can and do beat men in real fights. It's all about skill and practice. You do not have to be bigger and stronger to win a fight. Athough it was in a dojo and "training" I have, first hand, seen her kick the living dog doo out of guys. So yes they can, and do.

I actually saw a clip on either badjojo or Y0utub3(I forgot which) from wayback, where a black guy was fighting with his big(as in Queen Latifah big) g1rlfriend when she decided she'd had enough and proceeded to beat the living crap outta him, pretty funny that one, they both traded punches with the woman landing more solid punches than the guy, his neighbors finally had to pry his g1rlfriend away from him before he got seriously hurt.

This is a link to an article that a friend of mine found and linked it himself to his own website. The account is from April '06 but it is still a testament to the potential power of female martial artists. Hope this satisfies.

My Japanese lover Miyuki has practiced ballet and Goju Kai Karate since she was age 4, so she beats me up often. She is 5' 0.5", 97 lbs., 33"/22"/32", while I am 6' 1', 360 lbs., 63"/42"/49". I have studied several Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Tibetian martial arts. I am joking about her beating me, but she probably could beat many men much bigger than she is. My Chinese lover Bi-Chen is 5' 3", 125 lbs., 38"/22"/35". She bench presses 175-190 lbs. and squats with 315-340 lbs. She has studied Chinese Wu Shu in her native Beijing. She has beaten several Chinese men we know in lifting and in sparring. I know of no actual women versus men fights, but I am certain Miyuki and Bi-Chen could beat most men, unless they fight me. I am just too huge for any woman to fight.
