the one who sells the most and when the other company quits, DUH.
quit speculating it serves no purpose to tout the format you chose. Albeit a little early for us. I still will not buy a Sony product. I will not be forced to use HDMI when I want to use Component.

Neither, thats why most companies now have a hybrid unit on the drawing board.
This unit will play both HD-DVD's and Blu-Ray's. Its very similar to the hybrid LG made just a hell of alot cheaper.
Disney signed on with blu-ray, porn industry with HD-DVD's.
BOTH ARE HUUUGE industries. They will both be around for a long time to come.

My hope is that blu-ray will win out. I have both and they are both nearly identical. HDDVD has the edge on interactivity, blu-ray's java based software is muffed up. However HDDVD is tapped as far as storage space, where blu-ray has much much more potential.
You can't gauge the battle on that porn argument. Back in the day of beta vs. VHS you couldn't get porn off the internet for free.

Porno industry went with HD-DVD. We all know what happened with Beta once Porno went VHS.
