without actually KNOWING they were. They've never said it. They've never talked to you about God. They've never tried to witness to you.

But yet you know?

If so, how do you know?

Thank you.

God knows our needs for fellowship. No encounters are coincidence. I usually am convicted with the Holy Ghost, but never say anything until the other person opens the conversation with spiritual dialogue. Christians know if there are in the presence of other believers. The Light of the Holy Spirit shines too brightly not to notice.

May God Bless you always!

Paul said "I have determined to no longer no men after after the flesh, but by the Spirit only." It is spiritual discernment. Sometimes at work, there were people that I would talk to in passing, and I would just know. I would make an opportunity to tell them of my faith as God presented the opportunity. The owner of the business that I retired from was very anti-Christian, and I took many a stripe. He would not, however, extend his rudeness to others in the office building. Before long, I had other Christians stopping by my office around lunch time, and asking if I had a minute. Most of the time it was someone who had suffered a loss or had something that they wanted to talk to another Christian about. Just like in any times of persecution, God makes a way for His people to congregate, even under the very nose of the enemy. It is easier for some to be bold than others, but if one steps forward, look behind you and most of the time you will see His Children covering your back.

If one does know that means they know exactly what a Christian is all about the makings of a child of God. It is the spirit within that makes a Christians who they are. Acts 19:12-17.

People that say they are a Christian>>the Spirit Bears Witness. You Can Tell By Their Fruits.
I have seen some beautiful Born-again Christians that You Knew were truly Saved By THE COUNTENANCE ON THEIR FACES> They never Had to say a Word!! THAT IS JESUS. (smile) + + +

I know what you mean about just knowing. I have known before and I don't know how I knew. I also have had people "know" that I was without me saying anything.

My pastor's belief is that the fruits of the spirit are obvious to others. She also feels that grace can just "ooze" from us, which is recognizable to others.

Great question; I will be back to read your other answers.

How could they be a Christian and break the command of Jesus? Jim
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt 28 19-20

I adore your questions... and look forward to them.. Okay I am done sucking up now..

Yes I have met someone who was a Christian..{a real live one.. poke poke} and I did not know it...

I was in a time of severe unbelief in my life... I tend to understand the atheist way of thinking because I was one of them at one time... But I met this woman, and she had something in her that I could not put my finger on, but I knew I had to have it too.. At the time, I was much like what Paul concidered himself to be.."The cheif of all sinners" But one good dose, {encounter} with Jesus and my life was forever changed..
This woman accepted my unbelief and sacrasm and tollerated it... She did not beat me into the kingdom with scripture or an 80 lb scofield King James version Bible.. She loved me and accepted me for who I was... She did not Bible thump or scream scripture into my face...

We as Christians tend to forget that lost people are only acting according to their nature... They are lost.. How can we expect them to "act saved".. I have also seen Christians try and change a person... Thats the Lord's job.. We are called to love above anything else.. We are not called to "save" anyone... That's Jesus's job..

It was through pure genuine love of me as a human and as a lost sinner who was desperatly in need of a saviour that won me over.. and this woman is still a very active part of my life.. Matter of fact, she was the first "real live Christian" that I ever met and was not put off by and I am sooooo very grateful the Lord placed her in my path...

Thanks for letting me share that...It has been almost 10 years ago and the change has been soooo dramatic for me...

Yes. Because of their spirit. And I ask God in prayer for confirmation.

These Christian people who don't bring up Christ or God, are baby Christians who haven't matured very much. They were probably persecuted for their faith when first saved. So? They don't want to offend anyone. And instead love others. They have good fruits. And they plant love seeds that way. But when the Holy Spirit leads us to tell someone about Jesus, we should trust & obey. If the Lord directs us to just do an act of love, then we should trust & obey.

No, 'never' not without being told so!

Although I have sometimes been shocked by some that have called theirselves Christians but have completely contradicted that.
