You are not too old. I did not start having any sort of trouble with my skin until I was 23 or 24. A dermatologist told me that as long as you have hormones - you are at risk for acne. There is something called (I don't know if it is a medical term) Adult Acne and I am assuming that is what you have.
You may not have acne when you are 65 but you can have troubel quite a bit longer than 24.
If you have medical insurance, see a dermatologist; there are many more products out now than there used to be.
Good luck to youl.

Acne is not just for teenagers. I am 13 and have a little bit, but my father has a few pimples. He is 36! Acne is caused by dirt and grease that gets into your skin and irritates it, making it red and bumpy. Anyone can get acne, but teenagers get it most often because during puberty and afterwards your body goes wacko. If you keep your acne under control now, your face will be clearer than a crystal ball when you're older. Here's a tip: Wash your face every day with facial cleanser, then use some blemish control treatment gel on it. You can probably find both in your local Wal-mart or Walgreen's.

Variations in diet, hormones, medications (including laxatives), stress, basic skin care can cause flair ups. If it's really bad or you can't get it better, see a dermatoloist. Occasional problems with acne even happens to 65 year olds but normally by the time a person reaches that age they can figure out what causes it for her/himself and prevent it. It's all individual.

acne doesn't disappear, it just diminishes. I'm 25 and I still get acne sometimes too. But as the years go by, you should have a little less acne every year. It will never be gone 100%

Monitor your beauty regime and eating habits to control acne. Eating too much cake or chocolate will make me break out, so I always watch that. See what it is that you eat that triggers off an attack of acne. Not cleansing your face properly every night will cause pimples, as will using a face-wash or cleanser that dries your face too much. There are plenty of products available for acne at any store too.

Unfortunately you don't grow out of acne. I'm 31 and still break out from time to time and I never had acne problems as a teenager.
I ended up going to my doctor who gave me some prescription gel to put on my break outs. It helped stop the real bad break outs completely and it takes care of the smaller break outs I still get from time to time.

acne comes at any age but is at its worst when a teen experinces puberty. your problem is just that you might have oily skin which can be tooken care of with a acne wash, or you just might have a bad reaction to something you wear daily.

I'm 27 and still get them (not a whole lot but i still do) I think it would be a good idea to go to the dermatologist because there are some meds that you can take that will help you a lot, my bf had the same problem and they prescribed some meds and that totally helped him out... good luck!
