My friend is going to get Veneers, and she said that they are going to cost her $1000 a tooth.

Pros: Your teeth are going to look great! And insurance will cover them if they are in serious need (ex. They're severely chipped or broken)

Cons: It's very expensive, I'm not sure if you have that kind of money laying around. It's painful; They will have to bleach your teeth to cleanse them of anything and then grind them down to basically nothing to apply the veneers. There's also a chance that they'll need to be replaced. Which would be $1000+ per tooth in the future.

I'm not sure what you'd need veneers for, if its a serious condition go for it. But if you don't have to do It I wouldn't reccomend it. Its going to be very pricey and may not be worth it in the end.

Normally veneers cost the same as a crown. And the cost of a crown varies per region. $600-1000 per tooth is about the best range I can give you. The pros's of veneers are they take less of the tooth structure away when fitting them to your teeth. They can be much more natural looking because they are thin and the light is reflected well through them. A con would be they are thin and can break easily. Well, I wouldn't say extremely easy, but just don't chew peanut brittle or ice with them...and no opening bottle caps either..lol.
To be honest I can't remember if Insurance is covering the cost of veneers now or not. I want to say they are or maybe it has to be submitted a certain way and then it is covered...I truly can't remember. I don't work with the Insurance part myself. It's very possible they aren't covered though. It is considered more cosmetic than a crown because a crown is used to protect the tooth by in closing it, not just covering the front surface.

Depending on where you live, veneers are about $400.00 to $500.00 each. The benefits are they fix crooked teeth and give a more perfect smile. If you can afford it. Insurances don't pay for them, it's considered cosmetic.
