It likes to drink from the humming bird feeder also. And it sings like a sparrow too.

Depending on where you live, it could be a house finch, a purple finch, a cassin's finch, a common redpoll, a hoary redpoll, or several other birds.

Is it a red bird? They are beautiful and such a joy to watch.
The red birds are native to east of the Alleghenies range and are so frequently seen in Virginia that they are called Virginia red birds or Virginia nightingales. They can also be found as far from their range as Ohio and Pennsylvania in a migratory pattern.
Enjoy them, they could build their nest in your yard and raise some baby red birds. Such a treat !
