I need a recipe for cajun seasoning. I'd rather make it than buy it--got a lot of spices in the kitchen.

This is one I use. I found it listed a year ago on-line as being from Brennan's Restaurant in New Orleans. Although I don't think it is Brennan's, it is good.

4 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons paprika
4 teaspoons garlic powder
3 teaspoons ground pepper
2 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed dried thyme
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed dried oregano
