True. It takes faith and trust to take a risk. Doors are presented before all of us at various points in our lives. I've walked my Christian faith like this: " Lord, don't let me miss a door from You and please close the doors that aren't." So, I pray first, walk through, and trust in the answer no matter what it may be. But, I am talking about risks that gets one to find God's will for their lives. I'm not talking about taking foolish risks that wind up hurting you and others.

Define risk. To jump out of a perfectly good airplane is high unnecessary risk. To follow God's orders when men or governments threaten you to stop is a risk true Christians have to take. We follow higher orders.

To kayak down a river while being a good swimmer, is an acceptable risk. Risks are different in each case. To risk one's life in following the will of God, while it might lead to pain and death, is a risk true Christians are willing to take.
