Is coleslaw fattening? Does it contain a lot of calories? Is it advisable to have coleslaw for breakfast, skip lunch, and have a proper dinner meal? Please advise.

The insalata one of cabbages, like all the other insalate ones made up of ortaggi, not ago to fatten... is only fattened when it exceeds your every day requirementses! It goes well to eat it to lunch or supper, but please NOT to breakfast!!! They are Italian and from me we do not use to eat insalate to breakfast... the morning I take yogurt, slices biscottate or gallette of rice with marmellata and a thè green! As you see is eaten but in light way!

The cabbage is not fattening at all, it's all the mayonnaise that's in it that increases the caloric content astronomically. Coleslaw is not a great diet food. You should consume nutrient rich foods in the proper proportions and not skip any meals. As a matter of fact it's probably better for you to eat more rather than less and by more I mean six times a day. Consuming six small meals at regular intervals during the day keeps your blood glucose level at a steady state rather than the dips and peaks that occur to blood glucose levels in people who eat three square meals a day.

yes coleslaw is high in calories because of the mayonaise dressing. Its not the raw cabbage, carrot and onion. You'd be better having cereal, a wholmeal sandwich, and fish/meat and veg, everyday, skipping altogether, wont work and you will feel tired and drained.

i thought coleslaw is made out of veggies.. veggies aren't supposed to make one fat. i've heard that it's probably the dressing that has fats.

tip: never skip any meal.
