Depends on the size and beliefs. I know little about Mormons. From the reports on TV, it is a small group within that some crazy leader gathers around him that does these things, not the entire religion. If there is one thing history has taught us, it is that almost any people can be persuaded to believe anything if they are not thoroughly grounded mentally.
Islamic bombers are gotten when they are little kids. They would never think to say to the mullah, "If this is the fastest way to heaven, why don't you go first?"
The RCC and pedophiles, remember they have had centuries of worse deeds by the faithful, even the popes. They are just following the crowd.
Until God wipes out all evil in this world, there will be both good and bad people in all religions, even the true one of God. Mainly people are shades of gray. We all fall short of perfection, which is what sin means.
The thing we should set our sights on is finding the true religion by it's beliefs. Making sure they are the right beliefs according to the Bible. As the Bible says, don't put your faith in men as they all will fall short.

It does have to obey the law.... GOD'S LAW.
Islamic is only one religion though, and the way I see it it is more of a cult. Now I know what you're thinking is that I have no right to say that. But the truth is I believe that what I believe is the truth... or else why would I believe it (DUH)?
When soemthing is not centered around the truth, which by the way is also Jesus because he said "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life" then itis a lie (not true= lie... simple as that) so I see the islamics as a cult anyways.
I understand now that it's a two way street and they believe that what they say is true and look at us as the cult, that can't be changed because when you believe strongly in something, you stand for it. But if something is centered around God's LOVE, do you think it would really cause such modern day destruction? No, it wouldn't. But many people have started relgious cults that either leave out God's love or God's judgement... both doctorines that express His law.

There are bad apples in any barrel, but that doesn't mean you throw out the whole barrel. If there were some bad atheists and humanists, would you reject the entire system? When Christians have followed through on the Bible, this is what they have accomplished:
They have put a value on human life, even from inception.
Christians have been in the forefront feeding, clothing and helping the poor all over the world. Many churches had immediately sent volunteers to the disasters we've experienced lately.
It was Christians, not humanists, who started colleges and other institutions of higher learning. The original purpose of these universities were to educate and equip men and women to live their lives for Jesus.
The Christian founders of America have stamped their values in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Almost evey state molnto has a reference to God.
Christian scientists have marveled at God's creation and deduced that God is a lawgiver and a God of order. So they have taken it upon themselves to discover what natural laws govern God's creation. Many, many early scientific breakthroughs came from Christians.
Christianity has had a huge impact on the work ethic.
It was Christians who established the first hotels and hospitals, based on care for strangers and compassion on the hurting.

Religion should not exist that are against the laws of a country They even have it written in the Bible for this but they dont choose to abide by the rules. They pick and choose that is why we have so many different sects and cults and denomination. Religion will bring down a country and lead it to war. It will also make its people think they are superior to others. This is what the big religious groups do they divide and take money to make their leaders rich and give little or nothing in return.

Valid question. Hi, I'm a Christian, but I am non-denominational.
I listen to those large organizations from time to time, and the tv preachers, and also those guys who lots of you THINK are the "leaders" of Christianity - ya know, like
Jerry Falwell was, or Pat Robertson, Benny
Hinn, etc....
Those ARE NOT the leaders of Christianity.
Jesus Christ is the leader of Christianity, and nobody else.
I am constantly bothered by what I hear from them: I hear false doctrine being taught to hundreds of thousands of people, doctrine that is so far away from the Word of God, that its pathetic.
Churches who like to play "one-up" on others, acting as if they are closer to God than the others, etc.
I see Churches who dare to even change the doctrine of God to suggest that a sin
is not a sin, and perfectly okay with God.
This has become so bad that they will even blatently place a person who refuses to repent of their sin, in the highest possible position of the Church. And don't forget -
its NOT their House - Its Gods House, its
Gods Church.
We are speeding quickly towards the Great Apostasy; that is the falling away of ones professed belief; its pure prophecy, and its happening right now, today, and is seen over and over right on this very forum.
What is written to happen when this Apostasy is in full bloom? Antichrist will come to set up his one-world government;
if ya think thats not happening, look around you; the stage is being set for that very event - they even want to pass a law to say that America is NOT just an english-speaking Nation, but must cater to each and every language. We've heard George Bush Sr when he was President, talking about a "New World Order", and President Bush the son speaks of it as well. President Putin of Russia spoke of it; Tony Blair has spoken of it; EVEN THE PREVIOUS POPE SPOKE OF IT FAVORABLY.
Thats where we are, are where we are going. The big religious organizations have
done exactly what was written a thousand years ago - they have left off their first love, their first husband (spiritual, no gender) and
HIS teachings, and have adopted a newer,
more soothing doctrine to the ear, one that will tell people what they want to hear, and fill up that collection plate.
God help us all; God Bless America in her
dark hour.

Now I'm an atheist, I don't like religion in any shape, form or fashion. That said, you cannot blame the organization for the actions of the few individuals. The individuals to blame, or that covered up should be punished.
Religion should be a choice, and not legislated. Certainly not legislated away.

I think anything that separates us from being anything other than human is harmful.
It creates fear and yes, in some cases imagined immunity.
NO ONE should be able to use religion as a shield.
I think in time all regions will be banned under the law......thats if the religious fanatics don't use it as an excuse to exterminate the human race first!
