You can keep it in the fridge for a year - only problems are that you won't recognize it by then and the stink may knock you to the floor.

Yes you can keep cantaloupe uncut in the fridge. Depending on how ripe it is when it goes in depends on how long you can keep it in there. Usually no longer than 10 days or so. I grew up around Rocky Ford, CO. They are world famous for cantaloupe. Just check it every couple of days for soft spots. If you find soft spots, cut it off of the rind and put it in a covered bowl.

Yes, you can but the longer they sit out the riper they become. Putting it in the fridge will retard its ripening process. If your cantaloupe still has green in between the webbing you can keep it on the counter for a few days. Once the it appears to be cream colored in between the webbing it's ripe and ready to eat. I'd use it within a day or two.

Yes, you can. Anywhere from a couple of days to a couple weeks, depending on how ripe it was when you bought it. If the outside softens at all, cut and refrigerate, and start eating.

It depends on the heat and humidity where you live and how soft you like your melon but it should be ok for at least a week
