how to attract youngsters/new generations, to eat traditional food?please i want the steps/tips on how, as much as possible.thnx.

I think you need to give more details about what you are asking. In general, getting kids interested in something new is easier if you make it fun. Maybe tell them some of the history of the food or why your generation ate it.

For example, a lot of recipes evolved in the US during the Great Depression or during WWI and WWII when certain food, like sugar and flour, was rationed or unavailable. So, people had to be creative. Get them interested in the story or the history and they will be interested in learning more by trying it.

It depends on the age group.

For children 6-10, give them an incentive. Cook together and put a story to it and give them a treat afterwards for participating. And kudos of course.

For those 11-18, it will be bit more difficult but have them cook in the kitchen with you. Ask them what they think about it and try not to be offended.
