LOL woobly penguin nice name ... okaii anywaii down to buisness if you want her to listen say the command and back away slowly if she stays give her a treat, scratch her behind the ear just reward that dog. If she doesnt do it try again and again when she finally understands you give her a reward. Be stubborn, dont stop, just keep trying. Persistence is key. Good Luck Woobly Penguin =D

With her on a lead have her sit-give a treat-and then you slowly walk a few inches away putting your hand flat up to her and say stay-give her a treat when she stays without moving. Move farther back each time until you are across the room. Once she has mastered it in a safe room in your house take her outside and train her sit/stay with distractions.

make ur dog sit in front of u. if she doesnt pay attention, get her attention with a treat or something. then hold up ur index finger and say stay slowly an take a step back. if she tries to follow "say uh ah" and walk back to ur original position. she will soon learn that following u will not get her anywhere.

good luck
worked with my dog. i can make him stay for about a long hallway now!
lol

Start ON LEASH. Put them in a sit or down then just piviot in front of them and stand there your toes one inch from the dogs toes in 10 15 seconds go back to their side tell them Ok & PRAISE. gradually go up in time & distance. With a particualarly wired dog concentrate on down & stand on the lead 1 inch from their neck (NOT choking them, but with too little slack to stand up) to hold them there, when they stay (even though they had no choice) PRAISE

what i did with our dog was this-at the command i put up my hand. and walked only a couple feet away. if he stayed he got praised.if he didn't, i told him no-not a yell, just firmly-then i'd put him back and start over. each time we practiced, i move a little farther away. really, with practice, it only took a week or two for him to get it. practice and praise are the key. good luck-she'll get it.

teach them to sit by putting their back legs down and pushing on there lower back, then when they sit, put your hand on their forehead and say "stay". Don't yell at them, they'll be frighten and its animal abuse. When they get it, give them a treat. If she runs around say "no". Catch her and lightly spank her. say "no" whenever shes bad.
i haven't done it, but lot of friends that train say they do it and it works.
