You should let your ears pop man lol. ,,, If you're stuffed up i really suggest taking a nasal congestant about 2-5 days before the trip and chew gum on take -off until the plane reaches altitude and landing... coming home from spain... my ears didn't pop when i landed in chicago. I had a stuffy nose and this caused my ears not to pop. It was like i was under water hahaha and i had to make it to sacramento... so going through security and inspection was difficult. But if you don't have any kind of congestion chewing gum is still one of the best or fake yawning.... with or without the yawn sound.. which ever you prefer ;) swallowing saliva or drink will help too.. but i like doing the chewing gum fake yawning technique the best.
But yeah man, that's natural for your ears to pop... they have to adjust to the altitude...

Chew gum. The motion will help the pressure in your ears equalize so they won't pop any more.

There are some special ear plugs designed to equalize the pressure difference. I'm not sure what they are called, but look in almost any drugstore (Rite Aid, CVS, etc).

you don't "cure" it. It isn't a problem, it's just your body reacting to the change in air pressure.
Chew gum.
