First of all many of us either watched the landing on TV and or the launch in person or participated in the design or implementation. There are a number of rock samples which are not Terran in origin that were brought back and numerous photos. The documentation relating to the mission and all records are in public domain or accessible through the freedom of information act. If funding was available, another mission could be mounted to the moon to verify the original landing site. This all adds up to evidence and the part about it being "in the sky" has no relevance either to the moon landing or the existence of any god(s).
On the other hand, the only thing verifiable from the bible archaeologically speaking are some of the city locations. The Exodus has no proof for it found, even though many of the well know locations referenced in it have been excavated. None of the world wide miracles such as the sun stopping are recorded by any other culture, etc.

There's video footage of man landing on the moon. There's none of God doing anything. Landing on the moon is scientifically feasable. Most of what goes on in the Bible isn't.
Yes, it's possible that the moon landings were fake. But if they were, the film makers did a remarkably good job. And remember, this was during the Cold War. If there was any chance the landings were fake, the Soviets would have pounced on it instantly.

It could have been faked and certainly there are people who believe it was but the scale of the operation required to make it seem true - as well as the number of people involved makes it seem unlikely.
However no one is telling me how I should live my life because someone landed on the moon. No one is saying that the people who landed on the moon did A, B & C and I should worship them because of that.
Perhaps you want to find something that could well not be true but would actually change people's lives if it werent

Have orbital mechanics converted in forty years? Or four,000 years? The layout of Apollo orbits is within the medical literature and has been studied by means of 2 generations of next spacefarers. They do not appear to peer whatever incorrect with it. Most of the Apollo orbital eventualities had been partly precomputed by means of the CDC 6600 supercomputer at Lawrence Livermore, which had approximately the computing vigour of a Nineties Pentium. These partial intermediate answers had been accomplished as wanted by means of IBM mainframes at Mission Control, after which the ensuing maneuver orders despatched to the onboard pc. Modern astrodynamicists, pc scientists, and engineers don't have any crisis believing that Apollo used to be effectively navigated to the Moon, and a quantity of books were written at the discipline. Why is it that the individuals who doubt those matters are not able to show any skills or qualifications that could mostly be critical to cross that judgment? And on your rush to copy the rumors, you've gotten named the incorrect astronaut. Hoax creator Ralph Rene tells the tale that Buzz Aldrin (no longer Armstrong) as soon as grew to become emotional and left a room while requested questions approximately his voyage. Rene has no finish of a laugh looking to speculate why Aldrin did that: it appears he simply "could not take it" anymore. The crisis is that Rene offers no proof or knowledge to verify that this sort of prevalence took position.

Because there is a lot more evidence than just the footage that was shown on televison, like they brought back samples of lunar rock, there is the testimony of the astronauts who were there, there is footage of the earth from space, there are reflectors left on the moon from three seperate landings which can be seen from earth (or at least light rays reflected off them can)

I do not believe men landed on the moon. I accept the given proof for the moment. Should there arise serious doubt, I will change my point of view.
One of the many differences between people of the larger denominations and atheists is that the former accept things without any proof and are not capable to change their point of view even when science proves they are wrong. Atheists (or at least most of them) are ready to accept proof showing that they have to change their position.
You can not imagine how much fun I would have if somebody came up with proof that no man ever walked on the moon!
I had some hope when I read a few months ago that the original tape of the moonlanding (the one that was actually used on the moon) is lost and now they have only copies left.
Please come up with your proof.
But whether the moonlanding is real or not real, the existence of god(s) is of a different order. It dictates our lives, though no proof is given. By using god(s) people who claim they represent god(s) are trying to impose certain views on us. And they try to steal our money as well.

Because scientific proof backs it up? Look up the meaning of science before you try and tear it to shreds. Comparing anything to the bible is ridiculous. If I wrote a fiction book and got 12 of my mates to back me up in 2000 years i've got the same credentials as Jesus. Any one can lie, but you can't discount facts.
Also, does it matter whether we think we landed on the moon? We don't BASE our lives around it, we don't worship it.

rofl. No, its not fake honey. You really need to go read the NASA history on it. Stop being a fool.
There's a hell of alot more proof of the moon landing than there is for your gods existance.

Yes, all these government officials and independent contractors and scientists (thousands) were just in a big conspiracy, when the US government couldn't even keep watergate secret. Not to mention all the artifacts.
If whatever gods left as much evidence as the moon landing I would be a believer. And did you miss the part where we don't worship or kill for the moon landings?

I see so what you are are saying is I should just believe in god because everyone else does? And also I should blindly follow what everyone does wiht regards to religion?
You are comparing two different things and trying to assume that they are the same.
Nice try but you failed.
And you believe in god just because a book called the bible says so..
