I'm an Aussie who will be in the US in October. My friend and i want to visit the clubs in West Hollywood, but we are staying in Anaheim and we're not sure what the distance between the two is and how easy it would be to get back to our hotel in the early hours of the morning? Any suggestions???

its about 30 to 40 miles apart,
and public transit doesnt run very often in the early hours
(every hour) after midnight and sometimes it not even safe
but you can take public transit but you might get stuck there
in Hollywood after hour since the last bus to Anaheim leaves
about 10:00pm from Downtown LA and no more
service till 4:30am
and a taxi would cost you over $50.00!
it might be better for you to find a closer hotel
to west Hollywood (like in downtown LA or even hollywood or even Santa Monica!)
I can tell how to get to west Hollywood from Anaheim
you have a coupe of choices
first you board a Metro 460 (get a day pas for $5.00
take this bus to the Norwalk Green Line station
then take the Green Line to the Rosa park wilmington/ .Imperial.station (same place you can transfer to the blue Line)
into West Hollywood, then it eventuallyn Sunset towards
UCLA
note the day pass you got will expire at 3:00am
the next day..

Best advice is to just rent a car, unless you plan on going on a drinking binge. The distance is 35 miles (56 km), and public transporation in SoCal is not good at all. If you plan on drinking, then you should get a hotel in the area.

Public transport is a pain in So Cal. Try Airport express. They are a ride share company that would probably help you out at about $40.
