I think your question says "How long does a mother dog care for their puppies?" If I am wrong please correct it.

A puppy must be with their mother for a minimum of 8 weeks. Puppies who do not stay with their mother this long are more likely to have social and agression problems. They must be fully weaned and eating solid food before they can be taken away. Many responsable breeders/people recommend 12 weeks. The mother will continue to care for the puppies if they are not taken away until about 4 months.

It depends on the breed. Mother dogs will provide milk for their puppies until they develop teeth At this point she will force them away. Then the onus is on you to provide puppy food and water.

You might be advised to start thinking about selling your puppies after about 3 months - keep them with their mother until about 6 months

Have fun, coz they are messy and chewy and explorative and noisy and cuddly and utterly adorable at that age

The ***** usually starts weaning the pups at about three weeks old by reguritating her own food, which you should supplement with a premium dog food designed for puppies of this age, fed wet.The ***** will need more food at this time. By the time the pups are five weeks old most bitches are getting fed up of the pups and need some time to their selves, so limit the time she spends with them. Let them go to their new homes at about seven to eight weeks with a puppy pack eg:sample of their food, a favorite toy or a piece of blanket that smells of mum what and when they were wormed with.also try not to let the pups go too late in the day, as they need time to seattle in.

Normal gestation for most dogs is 58 to 65 days. Most small breeds will whelp sooner than a large breed dog.

Vet suggests you leave the pups with their mom for 8-9 weeks at the least. But if you are keeping the pups they will still wean around 7 weeks but will follow the mom for months

I think it is like 2 to 3 months. You can call a vet and ask them and they will tell you.
