Who would usually call these news investigative reporters viewers at home or church ministers to check up on how are they doing on handling the ministry through their faithfulness in the Lord?

No doubt ex-members from these false religious shows as they began to see the corruption within these falsities and they want out. Also, they plant their own news investigators into these organizations to gain inside knowledge and then report about it. Spies as it were.

They are all corrupt, those ones on television. That's not how God's true followers spread the word about God and his purpose; his kingdom also. Not thru TV at all.
