This Myleogram was so hard on my body. I woke up this morning (4 days after the myleogram) and wow, my head is pounding. Yesterday, I thought I was doing better, but I guess not. What do I do next?
Thankyou

It's called a postural headache. I had to have therapeutic spinal taps every two weeks a few years ago, and I really feel for you. It should be better when you lay down. Over the counter meds won't help much if at all. What happens is you are likely still seeping fluid from the spinal puncture, and you have lost enough cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) that your brain isn't in isn't natural (floating per se) state. When you are lying down it's fine because it's (brain) at the back of your skull or side, etc. but upon rising it puts pressure at the base of your neck and your brain stem, and pulls at the tendons that suspend the brain at the front of the head causing the headache.

Get rest, and stay laying down, make sure you are getting enough fluids, but I would definitely call you doctors office, they should have an emergency number for after hours on the regular line. They might want to see you, and evaluate your CSF loss. It can be dangerous if left alone too long. A healthy body should fix itself, but it could also leave you open to a infection, and that would be awful. I would err on the side of caution.

I hope this helps. It goes away, just not soon enough. Be well, and best wishes.

You definitely need to contact the doctor and get medical help.

In the meantime place an ice pack on the area of the injection. This is going to help take down the inflammation in that area. Do this for fifteen minutes at a time, several times a day.

Advil liqui capsules work very good for painful headaches. Take them four times daily.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Because most all pains are from muscles, you have to figure out what muscle is in need of help. To get rid of the pain you have try this: Bend over as far as you can. Then put your hands on the muscles in the small of your back and press in on them. In about 30 seconds you should have a release and if I have it right it should also include that muscle group.
