mileage isn't the worry anymore, Making sure the previous owner treated the car with good service maintenance is.
Our north American cars are now reaching 300,000 miles and still run well, If they are serviced with due care. filter air and oil must be changed every 3000 miles. bearings and seals checked. tires properly rotated every 10,000 miles. front end alignment and part replacement is essential. as far as the rice burners the engines are to small to take the long haul. that why i only speak of north American made auto's i have a 1979 Chevrolet van that has well over 600,000 miles i use it every day but I maintain it with regular oil changes and filters. and i drive it like i hate it and just got my first Macao paint job it looks new.

Most people drive a car 12 to 15 thousand miles a year. The cars value takes a hit when there are more miles than that on the clock.
