It depends on the variety of corn. Usually from 2 to 8 ears per stalk.

It really depends on the variety. Mine has a first crop of large ears, and a second, sometime a third crop of three ears. In good warm summers with plenty feeding, the plants can produce more. They love moisture, nutrition and plenty of sunlight. With the lousy summer this year, my plants are flowering already and not very high. I reckon that I will just get one ear from each plant, if I am lucky. The pollination might have been bad with all this rain.

I'm a country girl once again so I think I can help you out. You have to take the old halloween candy (that's the only kind you can use) take it and eat it. You save it from the toilet and THEN only can you throw it out to the birds. The birds will eat it and where ever THEY crap can you find the candy corn. I hope this helped.
