My colleague, Karen gave me some pork scratchings that were too salty for her overnight and I loved them.

See! I told you they were too salty. But, did you ever listen? No-oo-oo-oo Miss Smarty-pants had to go out and try them.

Were thay any good?

I love Pork Scratchings with a tankard or two of ale!! but last night, being a lazy sod I bought a ready made meal of Bangers and Mash from Tescos and found the mash almost too salty to eat!:-(

I like salt in my food but not over-salted. All this stuff they're spouting these days about the amount of salt you should have daily is getting on my wick. Stores like Asda have stopped putting salt in tins of peas, etc. I put my own in before heating and I will guarantee that it's a helluva lot more than the producers of the Asda stuff did.

Edit: OJ - Chefs tend to under-salt food, the thinking being that it's easy enough to add salt but hard to fix if you've put too much in.

Too salty for her overnight? I don't get it.
When I was a lot younger, I loved salt soooo much. Now I barely touch the stuff.

LOL pork scratchings? That gets you thinking, now doesn't it...

I really dislike the taste of salt. I now hardly go out to restaurants as I think the 'chefs' oversalt everything to compensate for the poor quality of the ingredients!

I hate it! Just makes me really thirsty.
Whenever I cook I try to leave out salt wherever possible. I hate the way so much food contains so much salt when it just isn't needed (in my opinion anyway!)
