Well as a rule when you pawn something there IS a time limit on how long you have to get the item back. It might be a month or maybe two. But there is a time limit. AFTER that the pawn shop usually puts the item up for sale. In your case I think you need to go out and buy her another ring. And make this one a better more expensive ring. It'll cover you for losing the original.

Yes, i suppose. I can see tough luck. Why don't you try to track down who he sold it to and then try to get it off them. Pawn Shops are really weird and I guess that you might never find the ring again but it doesn't hurt to try you know. Well, yea if you can't find the ring, then just follow your idea, the little machines outside the newsagents. Sorry, but its just a tad bit funny!..
I get your game ok, liar! Are you sure that your brain is working right now.

You best option, by far, is a local and REPUTABLE jeweler. We know the price that was paid, but what is its true value? Ask a trusted jeweler for a ‘seller’s advisory.’ This costs about $50 and will tell you the how much a jeweler will pay for the item. A professional appraisal costs anywhere from $50 to $200 and provides the FULL RETAIL VALUE. Shop it with SEVERAL / MANY local jewelers. These retailers do buy jewelry and will typically pay anywhere between 15% to 80% of retail. This will require time on your part to find the best price. DO AVOID: Jewelry selling parties pawnshops mail-in- jewelry buying businesses online jewelry buying businesses These latter four will offer you only 10% to 20% of the true value.

You need to read any terms posted on your deposit note. Most places vary from 7-28 days before the item goes up for general sale. If it has been less than the time set when you dropped the ring off, he is in breech of your contract and either has to revoke the sale from the new owner or replace your ring. I would check with your local police office if this is the case before charging in. Unfortunatley if you returned after the time agreed then the ring became his to do as he chooses with - sorry.

Pawn shops are incredibly shady joints run by devious people who seek to prey on the poor and those without credit. They are also places where the criminals drop off their stolen goods, and attract the police.
Avoid, avoid, avoid!
Unfortunately, you can't get back the ring if they've sold it. Don't give them anything until you've read their terms and conditions. Once you've signed, it's legally binding.
Perhaps explain the situation to relatives, and maybe they can raise the cash to get a new ring? (Do pay them back . . . !)

The Pawn Shop has the right to sell on items after a certain period of time and unless your fiancee has the intelligence of a house brick i think he'll notice the different ring!

Tell her what happened. Then tell her the ring that got sold was one of those rings from one of those machines, and that you'll get her one from a pawn shop on the classy side of town.

Who the hell wants these problems? See, you aren't even married yet and you are already lying to her and pawning her ****, lol. Stay single, unless you wanna add alimony to the list of bills you obviously already have trouble paying. And if u get married, u won't have time to make these funny stories, as u will be too busy being a miserable f*ck like all the other married people.

Say you had a 30 day pawn. You have 30 days to pay them back. IF you don't pay them the full amount by then then yes they have the right to sale the ring.
