Cassette/VHS Recorders and loads of others. Spectrum 48k a blast from the past, it may be out of date but it always seems strange to me that I've enjoyed games played on/written for the Spectrum more than any of today's PC and game console games?

Well, there's the Betamax tape (the more successful VHS is following though) The 3 1/2" floppy disc is pretty much gone now as is the music tape, and with the new competition for the next generation of DVDs either the Blu-ray disc or the HD-DVD will also be out of date (when they finally come out and one beats the other)

the audio cassette recorder/Walkman/player etc. I threw away the vast majority of my tapes. The one that I do have left, I am slowly recording them on to MP3 format.
I noticed in the news the other week that Comet and Curry's were no longer going to stock blank audio cassettes. A few years ago HMV and other chains stopped stocking albums recorded on to cassette. It's days are numbered.
record players and CD players will follow suit in the near future.

Flint axes seems to have been replaced with the chainsaw.

The Branks (aka scolds bridle). I can just imagine what modern women would do to anyone coming near them with that.

Videodisc - I remember seeing one of those giant discs on Tomorrows World, when I was wee.

How about slide-rules? This elegant and clever device was rendered obsolete almost overnight when calculators came in. I think I was in the last school generation to be taught their use!
