Depends where you and your boyfriend are touching, I suppose. At fourteen, I think making out is okay, but a lot of touching and rubbing can eventually lead to sex, but this all depends on the nature of the relationship. Also, how long have you been with your boyfriend? If you haven't been with him very long and you guys are already at the heavy petting stage, then I'd take some time to think about the relationship for a bit and ask why it's moving so fast. Either way, you guys are putting yourself at greater risk for having sex by continuing with the heavy petting. I definitely think fourteen is a bit young to be having sex, so please keep that in mind. Not everything that feels good turns out to be good.

Heavy petting is one of the last steps before you have S E X.
Really, are you ready for this? IT will happen. (unless you have total control and know you won't get caught up in the moment, which is soooooooo hard for an adult let alone a teenager with hormones! ) I've been there and it happened to me as an adult and when i was a teen)
I know you care about this guy and you think it feels right but... you need to S L O W D O W N !
At 14, you could be pregnant, get an STD (sexually transmitted disease ) aids, herpes, veneral warts or another disease that could affect your health and your likelihood to have babies later in life.
If you think your ready for sex after all this, then proceed to the nearest Planned Parenthood Clinic. Ask your boyfriend to go with you. They can give him condoms and you birth control . If he won't go with you to the clinc, then he won;t be there for you when you get pregnant or get an STD.
If you are going to have sex, you have to be responsible. So think about it! if you can't go to your doctor or the clinic , then you can't have sex. its that simple. You need to be informed and have your doctor monitoring your sexual health once you start having intercourse.... a pap smear every year for the rest of your life. (not fun but necessary )
THE only way to prevent pregnancy 100% is to not have sex. My gf got pregnant while ON THE PILL and her BF pulled out "in time".WRONG ! she had her baby, her man stuck by her and they are a happy family. She was 19, he was 19. Stories like this are few , most of the time, it doesn't turn out this way. very very rarely.
something to think about ... share your body with someone who will treasure you. your virginity is a valuable gift. You can only give it once.

i think that is fine as long a the rubbing and touching doesnt go any further. 14 is definitely too young to be having sex but if you both feel very passionate about eachother, it is fine to make out and touch eachother. its only natural at an age when all your hormones are going crazy

Honey, other girls your age are doing the same thing I'm sure, but you shouldn't worry about them. You should only worry about going as far as you feel comfortable. If it feels right and he's a nice guy, there's nothing wrong with making out and heavy petting. We've all been there :)

At 14yrs and that's all your doing good for you! I don't think its to young but knowing your not ready for sex is a big thing to think about. you should talk to your boyfriend it seems your not ready to have sex and that's great but tell your boyfriend it might help your relationship grow, just so you both can have a understanding. enjoy it cause when you get older it very rare to find someone who wants to only make out.

Hi,
There are girls younger than yourself doing what you are talking about but, it doesn't make right.
The fact that you are not at the age of consent yet means you are a minor so, if you are doing that, it's only a matter of time before drink or some other factor comes in to play.
You may be saying to yourself now but i don't drink.
What if you go to a birthday party have a few secretly or otherwise?

The main thing is how you feel about it, if your feel your ready, don't regret it ect., but you should always be prepared for something more to happen like having condoms just in case or know how to break it off in the moment so you don't regret doing anything or feel pressured into doing it.

I'm sure other girls are doing the same. But, all that stuff is going to lead to sex soon. Once a guy gets a taste of soemthing he likes he wants more and more of it. I personally say start taking things slower hun.
