Several Iranians I met told me that they hate Arabs, and i should not associate with them, there reason being that 1,000 years ago the arabs invaded the persian empire and brought islam to persia and changed the language and tried to get rid of the culture. They say that Arabs are responsible for the decline of persia.

I say...well if that were true.....then we should hate the greeks too..oh and the Mongols. Everyone should hate Italy because the romans occupied all of europe at one point. But they don't.

I say that hating someone for what someones grandfather did is stupid. Hating someone for something his great-great-great-great-great-great.....................................great grandfather might have done is down right ridiculous. First of all, all empires rise and fall..Persian was going to collapse sooner or later just as rome and babylon did.

Second of all....Islam is a great religion.

Third of all swallow your damn pride and learn to get along..let the past stay

^This whole thing about hating a whole race/religion/group of people is ridicules, do you know all of them. I was brought up to believe there is good and bad in everybody, your race, religion etc. doesn't necessarily dictate who you are as a person.

Remember people tend to hate what they fear, and unfortunately, in today's climate there is a lot of fear to go around.

Let's face it. the last attempt, doctors who were going to do the bombing, people who took an oath to heal and save lives were going to kill innocent people, that's scary, but to live with hate in our hearts is worse, we will end up destroying ourselves before they do .

i'm no longer angered, yet i'm dumbfounded by fact some think of that's the 1st time a Black person or a female ran for president. I could desire to remind them Rev. Al Sharption Sen. Carol Mosley Braun the two ran in 2004 and no person proclaimed they have been getting maximum human beings of the Black or females vote help by fact their demographic grew to become into racist or sexist, i don't get why human beings are asserting it now. Is it by fact this candidate is much extra available than those till now? In 1984 and 1988 Jesse Jackson ran for President and won 5 Democrat contests in 1984 and eleven in 1988. it is a disgrace that the media at present writes off Jacksons's accomplishments, yet its well worth noting.

If you have to ask whether something excuses your hating someone, the answer is no. By the same token, if you hear that answer, and decide not to hate, you're also wrong.

The only person that should decide who or what you like or hate is you, and you shouldn't need to give other people excuses or reasons for your personal preferences.

That said, most people, myself included, think that hating an entire race of people, most of whom you've never met, is a bit silly. But, also like most of the rest of the world, no one really cares, or should care, what any individual person's likes/hates list is. No one's opinion is that important.

And of course, personal preference never excuses anything stupid or illegal you do because you don't like, or even hate, someone. Stupid is stupid no matter the reasons behind it. People don't have to like each other, and requiring them to like each other is stupid, but refusing to get along with everyone you don't like is even more stupid. So I definately agree with the "swallow your pride and learn to get along" sentiment.

There are not any legitimate reasons to hate an entire race. Whatever the misdeed done, it was only committed by a few. You can hate an individual for a personal wrong but no "race" is responsible for anything. Individual people commit individual wrongs. Races just define genetic origin.

Dima, the majority of Middle Easterners are just as peaceful as you and I. Methinks you listen to the news too much- they do tend to ignore the good parts of people.
Myself, I hate child molesters, rapists, and people who kill for stupid reasons or no reason at all, and people who refuse to accept any beliefs but their own, and especially people who kill for those beliefs.

No there is never an excuse. If you are part of a race, you never choose it did you? You were just born that way. It's life. You might even hat your race but TOO BAD!!! I feel sorry for this world..

I TOTALL Y AGREE...

All religions are a different facet of the same God. I am not here to judge or be judged. I am here to live a good life. Anyone who holds onto the past with resentment is doomed to not live life to its fullest. What good can come of it?

That is a lesson that a great many people need to learn, and utterly fail on a continuous and ongoing basis.
