I once had breakouts at my back and went to doc about it. He asked.. How often do u bathe? I siad twice, once morning and once at night. And he said, ok, bathe once a day and dont use any body soap or lotion. just water. :S What kinda idiot is that????

My dad was seeing a doctor every month for "routine" check ups because he hadn't been feeling well and because of his age (68).... no one ever suggested a colonoscopy (recommended after age 50 every year to two years)... he was just diagnosed with colon cancer, stage IV. Specialist now says had he had one done it might have saved his life..... they gave him 3-6 months. So "lack of advise" was the worst advice in this case.

Maybe your skin is so dry, by bathing twice a day, that happen to me , I put oil on my body after taking a shower, and that helps. I use liquid soap .

About the same answer I got. Went to an emergency room and they prescribed pain pills, and ear ache medicine. But I actually had a heart attack. Someone got into soooo much trouble!

Not the worst advice but rather he made a bad mistake while busy with other stuff, he re-prescribed for me a particular type of antibiotics that I had recently had a severe reaction too. It is written on my medical file that I am allergic to them, he wrote it himself :o.

Breast cancer runs in my family, so I asked my gynocologist to please give me a referral for a mammogram and I was only 37 years old. He said I didnt need one until I was 40. A couple of months later a mobile unit came to town and was doing mammograms for free and without referrals. The results of that showed I had a cyst and needed to have it biopsied and removed.

When I was in high school, I was having problems breathing, I went to ER and the doctor there told me to use a humidifier when in fact I had asthma! When I finally went back to my own doctor two days later, they had to admit me for two days, I was having an attack and didn't even know it.
