what is the normal age for a girl to start having periods? is having periods a good thing what does it means?

The average age varies. It's usually 10-15. I've never known anyone who started after that. Yeah, getting your period is a good thing. It means you're becoming a woman. Every woman has to get her period at some point. Especially if you want to reproduce in the future!

No one can say exactly when you'll get your first menstrual period, but you will get it some time during puberty. Puberty is the time in your life when you begin to become an adult. This means a lot of growing and changing - both inside and out. Some girls start puberty at age 8, and others may start as late as age 14 or 15. Each girl goes at her own pace. havig a period is when a girl and start having a baby...the there really isnt a average age really but most girls get it between the ages of 8-16 and more commonly 10-14...most girl also get it around the same age and thier mothers and sisters. the book what is happining to my body:book for girls really explains it all...good luck

There is a huge range of ages and it's about 8-18, I believe the average age is 12, although it's been getting younger for a while apparently.

can start ay any age between 9-16, so dont worry, i started at 14. and its nt the greatestthing in the world lol

in her teenage.starting periods in teenage is quite normal.normally uterus is prepared to accept and to nourish the zygote if this process is not happened uterus comes to its normal condition.shedding of tissues with some blood is the result that is what we observe during menstruation.

i was 14. it means you can have babies now, STAY AWAY FROM THE BOYS. You will really start to develop now or at least that is how it happened for me.

well i started mine at 11... its not the best ... hehe.. but it happens to everyone.. and it means you can now have a kid.. and u get very emotional around ur period..PMS!
