Guess if you have to. I'm thinking about a dozen true best friends for me so far in my life. I've heard of studies that indicate we only have about six our entire lives so I was wondering what others thought.

2 so far. I thought I had more but they proved me wrong. The 2 that are my true best friends have been there for me before the ones who I thought were, and are still here for me now. I'm only 21 so I still have time to get those 4 others. If I don't, it's fine. My 2 closest friends are more than enough

I'm still good mates with I guy I went to Kinder with (and all through school) so he's been a friend for 46 years.
I have a couple of other mates that I've known over 40 years but as we live a fair way apart, we rarely see each other although we keep in contact by phone.
And I have two women I've known for over 30 years whom I'll still good friends with.
And making number 6 is a guy I've been associated with workwise for more than 35 years.
Yep, 6...that's it.
