My boyfriend is black and I am white. I have never really been attracted to white men. I love tall black men and they're right: Once you go black, you never go back! I've been in 3 relationships and two have been with black men and one with a persian guy.
My friends think i'm weird, and people still point at my boyfriend and I on the street as if we are weird since we are of the opposite race. I still can't believe that in this modern day and age there are still ignorant people out there making a big deal out of interracial relationships!
But that's not what i'm curious about. I know interracial relationships are completely normal, but I was just wondering if it's okay that I am not attracted to white men? I mean, I find some of them extremely good looking, but it's not exactly about physical attraction; it's beyond that. I'm just not attracted to them overall. I love them as friends and I respect them but can't picture myself dating one.

Um, I feel the same way actually. I'm African American and me myself I'm not really attracted to my own race and on top of that I LOVE inter racial relationships, I think they're just the best thing ever, especially when the 2 people are on the same page. Anyways, I feel it's perfectly fine. I find some African American attractive, but I'm not so much interested in them, I like men of other nationalities myself.

That's funny, because I'm a black man and I'm not attracted to black women (there are exceptions, but not in general). I'm attracted to every other race though. I think genes partly decide who you will be attracted to, as well as how you were raised and whether or not you liked your parents. Either way, it's normal. People are going to have characteristics that you are not as attracted to, in your case, white skin.

No you're not wrong to only like black men. People have preferences... some girls go ONLY for size... wait... black...size... nevermind.
My POINT is, YES it's okay. My wife is Japanese... she was into not JUST americans, but basically WHITE POTHEAD AMERICANS who weren't stupid. Bam she got me. Happy as hell.
Everybody has prefrences, some people don't like coca cola. Some people don't want a white guy inside of them. Whupty do.
If anybody thinks your racist, that's bull. It doesn't mean you don't like white PEOPLE... you just don't want our greasy hands on you. (that was said jokingly)
Either way, tell him you love him and have a great life. Have kids, and don't even for one second think you are weird.

The fact is, whatever floats your boat is perfectly normal and acceptable. I have several friends who have a preference for men of different ethnic backgrounds--one of my friends finally married a white guy, but she dated a lot of black guys because she said they are a lot nicer, in general, than most white guys.
It's just a preference, like preferring a guy with dark hair, or one who is tall. Nothing to worry about. Just be sure you date a guy who treats you like gold ;)

It shouldn't be a problem whatsoever. It probably just means that your comfortable enough with yourself and your race to be attracted to those outside of your own race. It shouldn't be as big of a deal as some may make it.

Yes, its completly normal. Even though im a white guy, I'll date white women, black women, asian women, etc, as long as they have a good personality.....People point and stare because they are obviously insecure and since most people are ignorant like that, no one wants to stand alone in the crowd and say it is normal. If you love the guy, stick with him. If other people want to be like that, let them.....

neither do i...i am not attracted to my own race...i am in love with a white man...with a green eye tan skin, gorgeous teeth...when i myself mixture of american and asian..not so pure in asia
and not that pure in west site..basically,its even.

I am from the South, so I don't think so. But my opinion doesn't really matter...It is what YOU like, not what others approve of. Be yourself!
