I think there are pros and cons for both A single mother can probably get more assistance without asking, however she will also make less money at the same job as a man A single father will probably make more money, but doesn't have the same instincts as a woman! NOT to say that a single Dad can not be a wonderful parent. I think it is the most difficult thing for any person man or woman to be a single parent!!

I did it for a couple of years and yes.You've got to be proud of people that aren't chicken shitt wusses that bail.The ones who are usually realize what they have missed when it's already too late.That's the worst punishment there is.
I'm not talking about people who have to do it because of a tragedy.I think that goes without saying but someone might take it the wrong way.

i am such a person...i work, pay my own way, and take care of my kids without government assistance, or outside help of any kind. and i feel blessed that i am able to do so...its hard sometimes, but worth it when my kids tell me they love me for me.
for any single parents out there, pat yourself on the back...i think you are all winners!!!!

Not really. Many have chosen to raise their kids alone besides, I don't see any difference between them and any couple trying to raise their kids. They had them, I expect them to raise them.

i have had a stepdad... and now she is about to get remarried... but for the most part we have been on our own since her and my dad got divorced (and especially after he died)

♥ Of course! Single parents that work and take care of their children are always an inspriation. It's super hard but they do it because they love their children. :-)
