Look, I can understand a lawsuit against the airport security firm, and the airports themselves, but why sue(I'm assuming Boeing or Airbus) the plane's manufacturer?? Did they ever release a statement saying their airplanes were hi-jack proof?? This seems to me like the attorney's involved are suing any possible firm's involvment in the event to try to maximize their pay-out...Is anyone else irritated by this??

for the same reason people rob banks. "because that's where the money is".

Lawsuits like this are not about justice. They are about financial gain.

Because all cases are being heard in the southern district of newyork were all the victims are & all the victims are on the juries & want to get a pay day ..good for the local economy too ..

Im not irratated - you want people to sue Boeing & Airbus - they are a monopoly & own a 60 billion dollar a year business & are part of the military industrial complex - this is nothing for them & will not impact them at all - by suing their asses hopefully they will remember to make their planes less aminable to hijacking - you know - like the Swiss Gold Bullion 747's ..

No. I'm irritated the government won't answer these people's questions. Everyone remotely involved in anything that happened that day is under a gag order. Why? It resembles the football star who joined the service and was shot by friendly fire, but was reported to have been shot in combat by enemy fire. What is the point of distorting and hiding the truth?

Everyone IS too litigious but it may be they can't get the airlines to spring for the cost of locking doors for the cockpit. A suit may be the only way!
