Dick Cheney was supposed to go to court, but said that he didn't have to and is overriding the court order with executive power. Is this currupt? Should he have the right or should he have to do it like the rest of the American population?

Cheney actually doesn't have the power to refuse to appear in court. he needs bush to ok that, unless the is being ordered to testify in a way that will incrimenate himself or the president, then he can claim executive privlage, since it would be a breach of confidence to ask the vice president to testify against the president, or countermand an order of the president, since the VP needs to be fully aware of all things happening in the executive office in case he needs to take over the position.

Its called executive privilege, and consider the fact no president or vice-president in history used this right more than Clinton. And you may or may not know that the Supreme Court is the finial judge on whether it applies in any particular case.

No, he doesn't have the right. He is corrupt and it is know that he is the one pulling the Bush puppet strings. He claims executive privilege when its convenient and then when it is convenient for something else he claims he is not part of the executive office.

No, it's not corrupt. It's flat out illegal.

Violation of 2 USC 192, possibly also 18 USC 1001.

There is no exception, in the constitution or in statute, for the VP being able to ignore the law. None. Which makes the action flat out illegal.

No.... his job is to do what the President tells him to, and he's barely able to manage that. Executive power is not his to wield, and our current idiot can't do it very well either...
