1) Your Body Size-If you're a junior size nine or smaller, you may find regular maxi pads too wide. A narrower maxi pad designed especially for smaller girls and women, like Always Slender Ultra Thin with Flexi-Wings, may be more comfortable. Always is the only brand that offers a special product for smaller women.

2) Your Activities-If you dance or are involved in sports, you'll want a pad that stays securely in place. Tampons are an effective form of internal protection, especially convenient for activities such as swimming. But check with your mom or school nurse before using them for the first time. And be sure to read the directions and change as directed.

3) Your Menstrual Flow-If it's heavy, you'll probably need to use Always Super Ultra Thin Longs with Flexi-Wings, longer pads with fold-over wings for side protection. When your flow is very light, for example during the last few days of a cycle, pantiliners can be ideal. Some girls also like to wear pantiliners between periods to absorb vaginal discharge, a perfectly normal natural moisture from the vagina. They also wear them right before their periods are due—so they won't be caught by surprise.

4) It depends on your flow, but in general, you should change your pads at least every three to four hours.

5) To avoid leaks or stains in your underwear or on your clothes, use Always pads with our patented wings to help protect the sides of your underwear.

Try looking into tampons or pads with different absorbencies. There are some made for "light days" and "heavy days". Changing your pad more often may help as well.

On a side note, a suggestion for blood stain removal: Hydrogen Peroxide (used for cuts and scrapes, found at the drugstore) and water.

Mabey you should try tampons instead of pads because tampons catch the blood before it comes out so that way you don't spend a lot of time getting the stains out of your underwear. You can't control how much blood comes out during your period. If it does get in your underwear that means that you didn't adjust the pad right or you need to go 1 or more absorbencies up.I hope this helps!

Have u had a pelvic exam lately, fibroid tumors of the uterus can cause heavy bleeding. These tumors r non-cancerous, but should be ruled out by ur gyne. Some women just naturally have a heavy period flow. Try a tampon and a pad, see if that saves ur underwear.

You can't. Try tampons and add a pad. We are women. Our bodies do what they want. It's just nature you know. I would definitely say though to try tampons as well as pads. It doesn't have to be a really thick "mickey mouse mattress" (that's what my mom called em back in her day lol). Use a super absorbency tampon and a semi-thin pad and you should be fine. You can't control the amount of bleeding but you can take steps to preserving your panties.

Hmmm I had this problem when I first started....the only thing i can think of is to wear a super jumbo tampon and a pad and if that doesn't work go to the doctor and see if you have an iron problem or maybe u can get on birthcontrol.

If you are taking something for cramps and it contains aspirin that will increase the flow. Is it heavy all the time or just at night? If just at night they do make pads that are specifically for over night, Stayfree makes one that is longer and wider but thin and very absorbent. Don't ditch the underwear, save "those" for period pants so as not to ruin all of them.

Wear a heavy-absorbant tampon, and an overnight pad too. I used to have this problem also.. horribly embarassing. lol

Assuming you're in school, you should change it at lunchtime. Whether there's blood on the pad or not. Just to make sure.

Just change your tampon more frequently, and use a thicker absorbancy.

good luck!! =)

it form of sounds like your pores and skin is extremely comfortable so what you need to use is a shaving cream for comfortable pores and skin and every time you shave then try utilising a clean razor or use it a minimum of two reason used razors tend to annoy your pores and skin. until now you shave moist your hairs with heat water so the grow to be softer and as quickly as your comprehensive rinse with heat water too. If the hairs you shave are on the mount venus then positioned a Moisturizing cream. wish I helped.

They have those pads with wings.
Some women wear both a tampon and a pad, together.
You can get the "overnight" kind of pad, extra thick.
