I recieved an E-mail telling me that I won the yahoo lottery and its prize is 250,000. Is that real?
it said : I won the lottery in
the 2nd category. You are therefore, been approved to claim a total sum
of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND US DOLLARS ($250,000) for the JULY
5TH 2007 lottery win promotion which is organized by MSN & YAHOO LOTTERY
INTL INC .Every month.
and is there a Mr. Patrick . C. Gill in your agent?

No, Yahoo does not run a lottery. It is the oldest scam trick in the book and by now you must be one of about 18 people on the planet who is not aware of this.

There is no Yahoo or Internet Lottery, it's a scam.

I used to post links to the debunking articles about this, but I've seen so many questions about this absurd "Yahoo Lottery" that I don't bother anymore. The people posting clearly can't be bothered to type two words into a search engine, or read the links Yahoo brings up when you try to submit a question about it.

It's a scam friend!

They are probably after your bank account information or some other type of personal information.

Like previously said by another answerer, if you didn't buy a ticket in the lottery, how could you win?
