This is VERY normal. With my first period (when I was 10) It was very light, and very short. A month later, I had my second, which was SO heavy, I told my mom she needed to take me to the dr.'s straight away. It's a scary thing, but it's normal. If you're uncomfortable, you can call a nurse at your doctors office and talk to them about it. They are more than happy to have any questions you have. Also, pain in the vaginal area and cramping in your lower abdomen are quite normal. You may be lucky enough to never experiance these, which would be fantastic for you! Just remember that right now, a lot of changes are beging to happen in and ouside of your body. And, there are a lot of things you may not be prepared for. I suggested finding an adult thats close to you (a mom, aunt, teacher, family friend) and keeping them avalible for moments like this. Good Luck! (and welcome to womanhood!)

When I was 14 my period was terrible! it felt like i got it twice in two weeks. It was really heavy too. it is completly fine it will lessen as you go on i am 19 now and it's totally controlable. But I hear the doctors say that if you soak a pad anhour or go through 10 a day then you should see a doctor. I hope i helped

Yep! For the first few years actually the amount of bleeding you have will change. Also you probably wont get it the same day every time. Expect it to be very irregular! It will probably even skip some months, too.

good luck sweetie!

Sometimes your flow varies. My first one, I didn't think it was going to end! Based on personal experience...some times are short and light and some aren't. For me, my light ones come with bad cramps. It can vary from girl to girl and time to time! So no worries~

Yes. Your period and flow will be irregular for at least a year. Don't worry. it will straighten out eventually.
