Male or Female no real choice for me ---whoever is qualified !

Having worked in OB/GYN for many years just had to share the following from a patient who insisted a female was the only way to go: "Having a Male gynecologist is like going to mechanic that never owned a car!"

Food for thought I guess?

I have a female doctor now and I think I like that better. It's much less awkward with a female doctor than a male doctor....at least it is for me

female. No matter how much schooling, experience etc, a male does not have those specific parts, so he doesn't really know how you feel, with problems, childbearing etc. I think females are more sensitive to their patients in this field because they can personally relate ( in most cases)

Why would i take my female issues to someone who has never experienced any of them????

Its wierd/perverted for a man to go into a profession where all he does is look at naked women.

a man and that may be crazy but they are much nicer about things than a woman and I have had both women do not care as much about complaints as men because they have the same problems

My current gynecologist is a male, and he is so gentle. So it doesn't matter to me as long as he/she is gentle. btw, my current guy is openly gay. (Not that there's anything wrong with that~!) :D

I prefer a woman. They seem to be gentler and more understanding. If it has to be a man, as long as he isn't good looking, I'm ok. I just can't have a cute man seeing me on display. I know it's weird, but it's just me.

Lol ... A woman, of course. I think men only become gynecologists because they are pervs.
