So I'm in my mid-twenties, and growing a forrest on my chest. I shaved it when I was younger, and now it's here with a vengence. Plus I have naturally dark hair, so it's even more noticeable. I'm a short and somewhat skinny guy, so I'm pretty sure that if I shave/wax it, I'll look like a little boy. On the other hand, I really hate having this hairy of a chest. Any suggestions on what I can do? Will waxing enough times eventually reduce it?

If your that afraid of it then why not have a surgical procedure to remove the hair permanently? Or...well I'm sorry that's not the most affordable option is it? Actually if your skinny then it shouldn't be a problem, hair only grows on areas of high body fat levels, why you would have so much hair is a mystery but you should have listened to your mother and just have left it alone...
If you want the best solution buy Nair hair removal cream, this stuff (according to the info Mercia's) keeps hair gone for about a week at a time. Its a feminine product...but hey who wants to go through waxing...ounch!!!

Do yourself a favor and leave the hair alone. It's much healthier and even more hygienic to have hair, because it helps air circulate, and that evaporates sweat so fungus doesn't grow. A sore, red, itchy chest is no fun.
Think about it -- do you want to put a chemical on your skin that actually DISSOLVES hair? That's Nair.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having chest hair. Most adult males have it.
Laser is very expensive, and later you will almost certainly want to have hair there, so permanent removal is a terrible idea anyway.
Hairy chests are HOT!!

I LOVE HAIRY CHESTS! Just FYI, a lot of girls are really into that thing. But if you yourself don't like it...laser or electrolysis? That's what people say are permanent! Or waxing. It will hurt, but I do believe it can gradually reduce the hair in the area...I know someone who that happened to (a girl)...shaving is not a good idea...

Don't shave. It will make it worse for you and you will be itching all the time. Try some laser hair removal. Pretty expensive and takes a few treatments but that's how you can get rid of it forever. I hear if you wax enough that less of it will grow back but never tried.

Honestly I don't have this problem. But, if I did, I would just keep it groomed as you would with the rest of the hair on your body. By the means of trimming or shaving. It's just one of those routines that make you who you are.
Some girls like hair, don't forget that!

attempting to shave with out water would be worse than with it. you may extremely use any sort of product with a view to make the razor drift extra common. Water and lotion works properly; as would any sort of cleansing soap or shampoo.
